How is Health Coaching different from seeing a Doctor ?
One of the frustrations many people face in traditional healthcare is the limited time they get with their doctor. Appointments often feel rushed, and there’s rarely enough opportunity to address more than one issue at a time. As a health coach with a medical background, I offer a different approach—one where you have more time and space to dive deeply into your health and well-being.
While I am a qualified doctor with 5 years of experience, my role as your health coach is not to diagnose conditions, order tests, or prescribe medications. Instead, I use my medical knowledge to help you make long-term, sustainable changes in your health and lifestyle. This means you’ll have the benefit of my medical expertise, but with the added advantage of personalized, holistic guidance and support—without the time constraints typically found in medical settings.
You will also have the benefit of continuity as you will be seeing the same person, me, in all your Health Coaching sessions. Our sessions are a space for deeper conversations about your overall health. We’ll work together to create a tailored plan that addresses your unique health goals. I’ll be there to provide consistent support and ensure you stay on track, adjusting the plan as needed so you can achieve lasting success.
Research supports this approach. Studies show that longer consultations and continuity of care often lead to better health outcomes, as they allow for more in-depth discussions, better management of chronic conditions, and greater patient satisfaction (check references below). While I won’t replace your regular healthcare provider, I’ll empower you to take control of your health with the time and attention you need—something that’s often missing in traditional healthcare.
